One of the biggest realty groups the Middle East is Damac Group, founded by Hussain Sajwani, who started the company in the year 2002. Over the years, Hussain Sajwani has worked hard to make Damac Properties, one of the leading real estate development firms in the United Arab Emirates. Today, Damac Properties has completed thousands of projects across the United Arab Emirates, and in many other countries, including in South Africa, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, United States, Lebanon, and more.

 

Damac Group is known for developing highly luxurious and modern commercial and residential complexes. Currently, among other projects, Damac Properties is developing two Golf courses cum residential complexes in Dubai in partnership with Trump Organization, a company owned by Donald Trump, United States President. Hussain Sajwani family is close to the Trump’s family as well and share a warm and cordial relationship. Hussain Sajwani grew up in Dubai and worked with his father in their watch shop during his childhood, but went for higher studies to the United States. Hussain Sajwani studied Industrial Engineering and Economics from the University of Washington and went on to take a job at the leading oil and Gas Company named Gasco. He worked at Gasco as a contracts manager for a while but left the job to start his catering and support services firm by the name of Al Jazeera Services.

 

It is a company that continues to run till date and Hussain Sajwani continues to head the firm and manage its operations. However, the primary source of income for Hussain Sajwani is Damac Group, which has helped him become the third richest person in the country with the estimated net worth of over $3.8 Billion. Hussain Sajwani is also a well-known and renowned philanthropist and is associated with many local and international charitable organizations. He continues to use the resources at his disposable for various social and welfare activities. Recently, he also donated a generous AED 2 Million to provide clothing to children from slums and who are below poverty line.
